This small devotional painting presents the Virgin and Child in a wooded landscape, combining luminous flesh tones with richly coloured drapery. In his study of 12 July 2010, Gianni Papi identified the work as by Juan Bautista Maíno and proposed a date around 1611–1612, noting affinities with Orazio Gentileschi.
