This finely carved Saint Michael by Torcuato Ruiz del Peral exemplifies the elegance and theatrical vitality of eighteenth-century sculpture in Granada. The archangel’s serene features contrast with the contorted demon beneath his feet, while richly patterned polychromy, gilded ornament, metallic lace and silver attributes enhance the composition. Preserved with its accompanying niche, the sculpture is the subject of a study by Adrián Contreras-Guerrero published in ARS Magazine, no. 70 (April–June 2026).
